Day 103 S-366-LYDoG
There is not doubt that there are things that Sean has difficulty with in life. I know that social situations overwhelm him. He hates change, I mean really hates it. He struggles when his environment is full of stimulation that he cannot process. He has a hard time understanding figurative language and is often surprised when what is said isn’t meant to be taken literally. Asperger’s makes you clumsy. I bet you didn’t know that one. He gets frustrated at times when his body won’t do what he tells it to.
The cool thing about it is that you wouldn’t know that he struggles so much, he doesn’t show it. It isn’t that he hides it either. It is as if, no matter what comes his way, he has a genuinely great attitude about life. He may cry or or be upset but he never throws a fit, not ever. He gives it his all and does his best to succeed even when it is hard to do; all the while smiling from the inside out.
I want to be like him when I grow up.
